Our Camp speakers for 2010 are:
Electives
Byron Fester is youth pastor at St. John’s Church in Bothasig. He enjoys the challenge of mountain biking – he knows what it’s like to eat dirt. He is also a bit of a fitness freak – he’s up for anything. Byron loves hanging out with young people and teaching them about Jesus and His Word. He will be teaching us some awesome songs – don’t worry he won’t be singing – as he’ll be teaching us some Psalms.
Doug Wannenburgh grew up in Cape Town but now tries to keep up with students in Stellenbosch where he serves at St. Paul’s Church. He and his wife Marike have 4 children – Kyle, Luke, Lara and one on the way. He listens to country music (yee-hah), enjoys reading to his children (he likes the pictures), splashes paint on canvasses (badly), and is living proof that geeks can play sport …really well. Doug loves telling people about Jesus and God’s grand plan for the world. He will be unpacking Ephesians under the title ‘God’s Masterplan’.
David Hill is the youth pastor at Christ Church in Somerset West. He is married to Adele with two children – Hannah and one yet to arrive! He is a lifelong ‘Sharks’ supporter (born in Durbs!). As a kid he dreamed of being a circus clown and is a total adrenalin junkie. His passion though is telling people about his Heavenly King. He will be helping us understand talking donkeys and other stuff from the book of Numbers.
As always we have electives this year, topical talks on battles or topics we face as Christians. Do yo have a topic you'd like to hear about? Fill it in here and we'll see if we can use it this year.
